Christian Light School
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
The teachers, staff, and Board of Directors at Christian Light School believe the best way to change Haiti’s economic, political, and spiritual climate is through raising up Christian leaders. Our goal, and we believe God’s purpose at CLS is to educate the students, not only in academics but also through Christ-centered mentoring and guidance.

When we look at our students, we see the future of Haiti. The young minds at CLS are hungry for knowledge because they realize knowledge affords them a better future. Through our instruction, we lay a foundation for leadership in Haiti. This leadership is found in each student as they learn, study, and grow daily at CLS. When we study the Word of God with our students, we change the direction of Haiti by changing the hearts of the young people who live in Haiti. These young people will ignite change in a country that so desperately needs Christian values.

Each young adult who graduates from Christian Light School will speak and understand French, Creole, Spanish, and English. They will also know and understand Sign Language. They will have successfully completed all required testing in Haiti. All will graduate with a diploma that meets Haitian standards and many will graduate with certificates meeting English standards.

Christian Light School serves over 300 students through academic classes offered in French and English. Students attend beginning at age three until they graduate after their 13th academic year, known in Haiti as Philo. All of the classes offered at Christian Light School meet the educational requirements of the Office of Education in Haiti. Students receive daily Bible lessons and work diligently on Bible memorization.

It is our hope and our responsibility to continue to equip the emerging generation of leadership for Haiti - One Meal, One Education, One Soul at a time.
